Children’s health in George

From newborns to teenagers, Dr Annetjie van der Nest provides gentle, unhurried GP care for children in George Central: check-ups and everyday illnesses, with time to answer a parent’s questions properly.

Newborns to teenagers

One doctor who knows your child.

Little ones change fast, and so do their health needs. In the early years that means baby check-ups, and growth and feeding questions answered properly. Through primary school it’s the everyday illnesses: fevers, ear infections, tummy bugs, rashes and the coughs that do the rounds each winter. And for teenagers, it’s a doctor they feel comfortable actually talking to.

Because Restore Health and Care is a family practice, your child sees the same GP at every visit. Dr van der Nest gets to know their history, their growth pattern, and what is normal for them, which makes it easier to spot when something isn’t.

Consultations are unhurried by design. There is time to examine your child properly, explain what’s going on in plain language, and answer your questions. You should leave the rooms knowing what to do next, and what to watch for.
