Minor procedures in George
Skin lesion removal, wart treatment, ingrown toenail treatment, abscess drainage and wound care, done comfortably in-rooms at George Central, without a hospital visit.
Small procedures, handled properly.
Plenty of small surgical jobs don’t need a hospital: removing a mole or skin lesion, treating a stubborn wart, sorting out an ingrown toenail, draining an abscess, or cleaning and suturing a wound. Dr van der Nest performs these in the practice’s procedure room , usually in a single visit.
It starts with a proper look: what the lesion or problem is, whether an in-rooms procedure is the right answer, and what the options are. Where local anaesthetic is needed, it’s used. The aim is a calm, comfortable procedure, not a brave face. You’ll leave with clear aftercare instructions and a plan for follow-up if one is needed.
And when something genuinely needs a specialist or a hospital, Dr van der Nest will say so plainly and refer you on. Honest advice is part of the service.
